Some people take pleasure in destroying something cute/beautiful. It's sort of Marquis De'Sade'ish. They go a step beyond taking pleasure in corrupting innocence (which a lot of us secretly take pleasure in ... why do you think a lot of guys get boners at the idea of deflowering a virgin?), and want to take pleasure in physically destroying that which they find beautiful, perhaps so it can no longer hold power over them.
