Well I’m not surprised Goku chooses to stay in space or dead. Guy looks for any excuse to get away from that.
I mean he’s not really a good guy in the way he treats or looks after his family but I get it. The guy hasn’t spent much time with a female influence while growing into a man and he was kind of pulled into a union or lifestyle he had little understanding of. It makes sense that he’d totally irresponsible as family man but that really begs the question of why this series had to go in the direction it did.
He easily could’ve been just like Batman and be doing the same thing, being forever young and avoiding marriage for over 70 years because essentially they’re both boys at heart, not really ready to move on in life and have a single, unattainable goal that they strive towards.
I mean unless there was real fan demand to see him marry, have kids, become a dad and grandpa eventually.
