Too bad she wasn’t capable of changing colour like that. I guess she just had the bad luck of being made during the time where women in this series weren’t capable of transforming or doing much besides knocking Krillin out which isn’t much of an accomplishment. All the Z Warriors were good for at that point was just padding out the runtime and laying/standing there as the real star gets to shine.

Honestly, the Z warriors are more like a patronage to the past. They are there because they have always been there. They are Goku's allies and friends and they protect the Earth when he can't, or help him when it's too tough. Now, as far as your complaint, Zangya is a villain in a shitty movie that doesn't matter because it is not cannon. A MINOR villain. She was only there to hype the big bad evil guy Bojack who is basically nothing but a strong muscle guy with no motivation or plot. He just beats people up. Wow. And you talking down the women for being strong is unnecessary. 18 is a great example. She can keep up with Goku and the others in the tournament of power, she is hella strong. No she can't turn into a god but she is powerful. Bulma is smart, that's her thing. Chichi is there...yeah...but she is a strong housewife who raised two children basically by herself. Now as far as Kale and Caulifla, they can one day make it to super saiyan god and beyond. They are women and they can be strong. If you want a strong female DBZ villain look at 21.

They can always rewrite her to be a better character and make her canon, it's what they did for Broly.
