I still have no idea what happened to Gohan internally. The same kid when confronted with the thought of Frieza approaching or the androids and even Cell, still went out there despite knowing all too well the danger, that he was out of his league and wouldn’t be able to help much because he’s less experienced and not quite as powerful as other fighters. I might not have always been a huge Gohan fan but what they did to his character is basically sabotage. He can make all the climbs in terms of body and power he wants but much like Goku, he’s a total flat line now. Done saving the world, just keep standing to the side and watch his dad who’s now a grandpa do it instead, all your progress gone.
