Have you look at the image of Link and Zelda? And if you know anything about the Zelda series then you would know the master sword never appear in the first game. Nor did link have a small fairy as a sidekick.

The Zelda in this artwork is from Twilight Princess while holding the Ocarina of Time. The Master Sword's blue color is from The Wind Waker. The Link shown here is from Zelda 2. What even.
