The lesson here is "if you give too much of yourself then you're no good to anyone." Since the one on the right is not only falling apart, but didn't even manage to bake the cookies without burning them.

The irony being such a line is used by those who want to squander and not reward those that had worked harder and are more desperate for it.
The one on the right remains mostly whole, but what he's offering won't be much help to anyone. Yet, because he is 'giving', however little, he will feel that he should be respected and possibly rewarded, hence his prideful, happy expression with his limited offering.
There's often more than one way to view Avogado's images.

There may be many ways to interpret art, but greed is universally defined by action and expectation. Our world dries up and thinks you a little is not enough. Be at peace with your hunger, your contribution, your self. Be at peace with others, and the real limitations of the consequences of our actions as a society; a world.
