It started back around the time of WW2 I believe (might have been WW1, pretty sure it was 2) when a bunch of old men in the razors industry decided they wanted to milk women for profit too.

Years of their dogma, attaching negative stigmatism to any kind of body hair on females has lead to the BS we're all taught today. If a girl wants to shave, that's fine - so long as that's what she really wants, and not told how she should look. If it was somehow wrong, it wouldn't grow in the first place.
