Yeah, he married her and had two kids, a boy and a girl. But I'm glad it was never rushed, though I am glad that in the first few episodes that they made it clear that she genuinely likes him. She doesn't obsess over him like the others do over Sasuke. Point is, they fit. She's very reserved while he's kind of a loudmouth. Yet at the same time, if she had been on his team in the beginning, she would have proven an asset due to her interest in him. He'd have helped her develop, though he probably never would have noticed until later. Point is: they fit well together.
