The recent trailer has just made "canon gender" a pointless claim once again, so Male!Byleth's got nothing to despair about anymore.

Popular or not, it's laughable to call either gender-choice for any of FE's Avatars "canon".

As far as Elyos's Emblem Rings are concerned; the "Byleth" contained within the ring was male in life.

However, that remains irrelevant to the Fodlan games.
