Let me attempt to explain. And as a bonus I'll translate this image for those of you who are curious to what it says. (Adding the note to the image.) If you had played Majora's Mask several times through, you'd remember that there was a song that made Link leave copies of himself around, and they always had creepy blank faces. Now I don't know what any of these characters have to do with it, because I don't recognize them, but I'm guessing they have some ability to copy themselves. (If not, then I dunno.)

KOS-MOS being there is a reference to the horrible looking toy that was packaged with one of the Xenosaga games..it looks exactly like that.
