Snake doesn't hate sonic. Truth is, both of them are from different worlds both capable of amazing things. It's just that Sonic stole his thunder.

(sonic and pikachu are hit by the triforce and mario's fire storm)
Snake:Well I guess I better go help them.
(snake sneaks up behind link and chokes him out, goes behind mario and launches him off the stage)
Sonic:(Faintly) who are you?

Snake: (to sonic) I am getting you to the Nomad(plane in the metal gear solid series, just for noobs who never played metal gear solid series) to help tend you and pikachu's wounds.
Mario and link:You get out of here you are not in this match snake
Snake:I am now BITCH!!!!!!!! (grabs smash ball) it's showtime (launches grenades all over the screen which sends mario off the screen declaring sonic and pikachu the winner.
Snake:congratulations I hae to get you to the nomad now your injuries are serious sonic
Sonic:Alright but you need to hurry cause in a couple of day's you know it's me and pikachu against you and samus right snake.
