How is hanging any more perverted then being shot, stabbed, electrocuted, poisoned, crushed, drowned, etcetera? The end result is always the same, and each method has it's "pros and cons". If it's perverted, then it's because you or someone you know of find it sexually appealing. Which says more about you than about the artist or anon 1 & 2.

This is where the Brits did it better than the yanks. British protocol the knot of the noose was placed under the condemned's right ear, this meant when they were dropped the knot would slide round under their chin placing all of the weight onto the spinal column severing it almost instantly causing the heart and lungs to stop functioning and eliminating any pain signals from the rest of the body making the death much less painful, usually taking less than a minute. The american method has the knot at the back of the neck meaning that the weight was placed onto the windpipe causing the condemned to choke to death, a much longer and painful experience, sometimes families would come and pull down on the persons legs to try and accelerate their passing, using this method can take up to 15 minutes depending on the height the person is dropped from and how healthy they are.
