yo bigb here how can she died at givin birth, first of all giving birth takes alot of energy so say my mom and also its one heck of a effort. also she minato( not sure how u spell naruto's dad name) her chakra to help seal the nine tails. so in naruto universe, chakra is like your life force, if you ran out you died...i dont know how much chakra he used. but then again real life woman sometimes dont make it after giving birth. also same anon who said that she turn out to like sakura, she a more woman that sakura will ever be reading the chapter twice. (how that for keystroke gelbooru?)

I'm anon2: They say in the early manga chapters more then once, had it in the anime as well. Not to mention that if you look at Oroch's women face (shown when fighting Sarutobi) it looks just like Kushina, and the fact that EVERYONE in the village is aware of her death.

Anon 3.4 here ..... but its kinda wonky, while we do know (as few times as mentioned above) it is mentioned that she dies (hell i even think its in the first episode of the anime) but if thats the case then how can chapter 498 be accurate if she was both a previous jinchuiki and still lived through it going wild to the point she could help Minato seal the beast into her son?
anyway she is alot like sakura ... from her looks to how inner sakura (atleast) acts and we havnt really seen enough of her to tell if shes similar in the weak sense (tho she did appear to be stronger then sakura is now, although Minato did need to save her (sound familar?))
