Start with something small (adult shops carry stainless steel rods for urethral penetration), like 3mm and use water based lube. Don't push too deep or you can risk damaging your urethra (it bends so you won't reach the bladder unless you're using something flexible).
The urethra itself can be very flexible and medical catheters are usually 5mm and up in diameter. With lots of practice people have managed pushing other dicks into theirs.
As for the burning afterwards: Make sure to drink lots of fluids so your urine isn't concentrated.

Thanks anon 1076576, i didnt think of diluting my urine, it does actually feel good to stick something in your urethra, you just need some good lube, also, aside drom metal rods, you can also use wires they sell in radioshack to start small the slowly add another wire, just be sure you bend the wire, the longest ive put a wire in was under two feet and about as thick as two q-tips, and if you want to open the hole really wide and fast, use q-tips one by one then attach some weights at the end when your done and drop the weight, it'll hurt like a motherfucker, havent tried it but i will soon
