1. in the japanese version it's written as " 精 " , which can be translated as spirit. demons & undead usually have this in their profile.
2. monster girls in the construct, slime , plant race uses the kanji " 精液 " which can be translated as semen.
3. " 精神 " is can also be used for spirit/soul.
4. if you notice semen and spirit (seen in 2 & 3) have the same 1st kanji character, used in (seen in 1).
as for Merrow , even as fish type takes spirit energy from their husbands when conceiving a child.
(a tribute to Poseidon for giving the magic hat I guess...)
it seems that this "spirit-energy taking" is not life threatening to the man unless excessive amounts is taken at once it could be lethal to him.
also after reading some of the profiles, it seems to be that there are:
-magic items that actually restore this "spirit energy"
as well as
-invigorating medicines for semen production
(the alraune nectar could be one of them,see also slime queen).
there will always be danger when dealing w/ "Monster"-girls, so better not be caught unprepared.. XD

well that maybe true, but since the girls that consumes spirit and semen gets it practically the same way
(through sexual intercourse/ your meat stick using their well..genitals) does it really matter? XD
of course they maybe getting your spirit energy through your "semen" just like how the Vampires get it through your punctured neck (which is another bodily fluid: "blood" and the one exception of the spirit eaters).
