It's a silly law in Japan that require them to censor genitals. I'm surprised that law hasn't been abolished. Clearly someone must realize how ridiculous it is. Anyway, just be thankful that it's only thin black bars. It could have been complete blurring or something that ruins the image completely.

@Anon1: I think Japan has more important things to think about now other than censor laws, like recovering from a massive earthquake that took many Japanese lives and made a major hit on their economy.
