I present to the Internets the hypothesis that Layer, and redesigned Alia, look so close to biological woman due to the need for human reproduction. Now before you shoot me down, just read on; humanity almost went extinct between X5 and X6. It took along time to even rebuild between X6 and X7, and by X8 humans were looking to space to help keep themselves from being wiped out by any other crazy Maverick plot. Since most of them were killed in the Eurasia disaster, they would need a speedy method of reproduction.

In come Reploids.

Think of it; you can take preserved eggs and implant them into an artificial womb of a Reploid, then have her mate with a man. All the sperm would be directed toward the eggs inside of her, and being a machine, she would offer superior protection to the developing children. With some advanced technology, multiple births from fewer eggs could become common, thus allowing for a huge population boom.

Hence, Layer was built, and Alia was redesigned, for the time when they would be called upon to do their part for humanity and bear children.

And Palette, she was designed for the pedos.

@ Anon1

Well, firstly, Would a reploid need specific biological... parts? And im not talking sexual organs, Im talking about the womb. You cant just stick a sperm and egg in a metal tube and expect it to grow and become a human...

Other than that, sounded pretty good... till the Palette part...

Well obviously the womb would be more than a metal tube; it would be bio engineered to be similar enough to a natural womb to allow for natural, healthy growth of any child inside of it.
