I love the white paint dots. There was an episode about this in the Worst Jobs series. It was about how people used to produce white lead (PbCO3). The first artist (don't remember his name) who made use of this colour in a new way in the arts was ridiculed by other artist in his time. He used white dots as light coming from behind of trees and light reflecting from water (as in this painting). It was called "[the artist's name]'s snow" in a mean way.
