Summary: | Auto-paging |
Description: | Hello there, I'd actually love to have an auto-paging system. So what would that mean? It's simple. Once you reach the end of the page, it would automatically append the next page to the previous. That way you don't have to manually click through all those pages. What I would suggest, however, is that this feature is togglable in the user's options. That way the user can decide whether he wants to enable it, or disable it to safe bandwidth and memory. I know that there are add-ons for browsers, but having this feature build in is much better, isn't it? |

I think that would mean a dynamic website with complex AJAX. This is definitely low on the priority, although the current long-term goal is to radically upgrade Gelbooru. It depends on how well the Patreon campaign is going, though. |

Auto-pagination like that can be really annoying, especially if you leave tabs open through browser restarts or if you need to link someone to a specific place in a search. |

@Jerl That's why I said that option should by togglable. Everyone who wants to use it, can use it, everyone who doesn't, don't need to use it. It would make it a lot simpler browsing through tags, then always just seeing like 20 images before having to click to the next page again. And then if you want to have another look at a previous picture, you have to click back, which would then cause another reload of all those images. |
