Summary: | Allow using the API through HTTP |
Description: | Currently, the HTTP API endpoint always redirects to HTTPS, incurring needless performance loss and CPU time if you're trying to scrape a lot of posts. It would be cool if you could disable the forced https redirect for the API. |

Unless you're a public search engine, you shouldn't be scraping hard enough for CPU load to be an issue. Our Terms of Service prohibits automated retrieval or indexing of any portion of the site. |

Yeah fair enough; I also figured out how to re-use HTTPS connections instead of opening new ones; which makes this a non-issue. |
