That sounds like a Firefox issue, not an issue with the site. I've never had it save files as anything but their actual extension. |

What OS are you running and browser version? |

Using Windows 8 and Firefox 53. Dragging that image to the desktop saved it as a .jpg. From what I can tell, this is an issue with your browser and/or OS. |

It's not like browser or OS gonna MAKE UP .jfif extension Tested with clean profile via firefox profile manager |

First of all, it didn't "make up" the extension; it's a legitimate extension for JPEG images: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jfif Second, in researching the issue I've seen many people whose OS did, in fact, automatically rename the files to .JFIF. I saw it specifically for people running Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. The solutions I saw were a clean Windows install or registry editing. |

http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2985269 Sounds like an unexpected bug in your OS as I am running the same OS and browser version as you and can not reproduce this problem. Read this thread and let me know if it solves your issue. |

Thank you for your link, it seems to have helped instantly. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\JPEG was messed up with for some reason... I wonder what did it... |
