She is a teacher and is protecting Matsuoka Takuya from secret service agents sent by the Emalian government. The Republic of Emalia is in the middle of a war and Takuya's father is being held in captivity by the Emalian dictatorship. By the time she meets Ryou, she has reached the limit of her ability to protect Takuya but fortunately Ryou rescues her and Takuya from the agents. Atsuko and Takuya stay at Ryou's apartment so that Ryou can protect them. Takuya looks up to Atsuko and sees her like a mother figure. For this reason, he is protective of her and hopes he can become strong enough to protect her. She is voiced by Han_Keiko.
