However, the armor shifts its appearance to base itself on the inner beast of whoever's wearing it. Guts acquires this armor while at Flora's home. Upon wearing the armor, Guts's physical prowess increases immensely and the armor can temporarily repair his wounds on the spot. Unfortunately, it also, as its name suggests, sends him into a berserk rage and makes him more vulnerable to being completely taken over by his dark side.
