This put him in power to turn Side 3 into the dictatorship known as the Principality of Zeon. He and his family rallied the people of Side 3 into enacting war against the Earth Federation by claiming these actions were for their independence, when in reality it was all for the pursuit of power. He lost his momentum for power after the death of his sons Garma_Zabi and Dozle_Zabi during the conflict known as the One Year War. He tried to negotiate a peaceful end to the conflict with General Revil of the Earth Federation, but his eldest son Gihren_Zabi killed him along with Revil and their respective fleets via the Solar Ray weapon.
