He is a baker and owner of the Furukawa bakery and deeply loves his family. Though he doesn't like his wife's bread very much, and often inadvertently insults it when she is in earshot, prompting her to burst into tears and run while Akio stuffs her bread into his mouth and runs after her in order to make it up to her. Nevertheless, they are a very happy family. He seems to like baseball and he is often seen with a baseball bat and playing the sport. He is often seen with a crooked cigarette in his mouth. Although he often threatens Tomoya, he welcomes him into the family, and offers advice. He is voiced by Okiayu_Ryotaro.
