She is part of the online Otaku Girls Unite! community who is most often seen in a Gothic_Lolita outfit even in the heat of summer in contrast to Kirino who often wears brighter outfits. She often wears cat ears. This is why she also goes by and is also known as Kuroneko (黒猫). Although she is an otaku like Kirino, she has radically different tastes when it comes to anime and manga. She has a preference for darker and philosophical anime/manga, often with angsty and handsome anti-heroes. She and Kirino often get on each other's nerves and they frequently clash with each other. She is prone to making sarcastic comments directed at Kirino, yet no matter how much they verbally clash with each other, the two girls do not hate each other and have more in common with each other than either realize. She has difficulty socializing with others and in the first offline Otaku Girls Unite! meeting, she is the only person besides Kirino to be awkwardly silent. Although the group's leader Saori spent most of the meeting chatting happily with the other girls, she noticed that the two were silent and created a second meeting with just the two of them after the other girls left. She gets along very well with Kyousuke who also helps her open up more to others and the two of them develop an attraction to each other. She is also from a financially struggling household in contrast the Kousaka's middle class household and Saori's wealthy background. She is also the oldest sister. She is one of the more popular characters of the series and stars in a manga spinoff titled Ore No Kouhai Ga Konna Ni Kawaii Wake Ga Nai! She is voiced by Hanazawa_Kana.
