He is a Frenchman out for revenge for his sister's rape and murder. His Stand is Silver Chariot, which uses a rapier. Although he is a skilled fighter in his own right, he has the worst luck of Kujo Jotaro's group. Whenever an enemy Stand user attacks, he is often the first victim of the Stand's effects. He also tends to have unfortunate things happen to him whenever he needs to use the bathroom. Despite his comic relief status in Stardust Crusaders, Polnareff becomes a more serious character in his next appearance in Vento Aureo. He attempted to kill Diavolo after he discovered that the man had been pierced with the Stand arrows but the assassination attempt failed and Diavolo crippled Polnareff leaving him blind in one eye and breaking his legs. After Giorno and co. turn against Diavolo, Polnareff begins secretly assisting them.
