Now Viewing: kitashirakawa_tamakoTag type: Character The heroine of Tamako Market. She is a dark blue haired girl who wears mochi like hair clips. She is the daughter of Kitashirakawa Mamedai who owns a traditional mochi store. She is quite proud of the mochi her store produces and she is a cheerful girl who is well liked by the local community. Although her neighbors are genuinely fond of her, she has the unfortunate luck of not receiving any presents on her birthday. This is because her birthday is on New Year's Eve when business is most hectic. Even she herself admittedly forgets about her birthday in all the confusion. She is childhood friends with Oji Mochizou even though he is the son of the Kitashirakawa's mochi selling rival, Oji Gohei. Unlike her father, Tamako does not see Oji's shop, Rice Cake Oh! Zee, as a rival and likes its presentation. Tamako befriends the talking bird Dera Mochimazzui soon after they meet although she is initially put off by the fact that the bird actually talks and its attitude. She is voiced by Suzaki_Aya.
