She is a female Korean dancer/rapper and was the youngest member of the popular Korean hip hop girl group 2ne1 from 2009- April 5, 2016. She was born on January 18, 1994. She is the granddaughter of the famous traditional dancer Gong Ok-jin and, like her, is most well known for her dancing. She participated in many dance contests as a young girl, gaining viral popularity for her abilities, which eventually caught the attention of YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun-sik who recruited her to join the agency. She was designated as the main dancer of 2ne1 and made her professional debut at the age of 15; she was also the only member who wasn't an adult yet upon debut. She was also the only member of the group who did not receive a solo single during her tenure as a 2NE1 member.
