Now Viewing: mizunashi_akariTag type: Character The protagonist of the slice of life series Aria. She is originally from Man-Home (Earth) and moves to Neo-Venezia at the start of the series. She undergoes training at the Aria company as an Undine (a gondolier/tourist guide) and aspires to become a Prima. She has pink hair which she ties into long pigtails. She is a very cheerful, optimistic, and kind girl who is able to make friends with everyone she meets. She is especially good friends with Aika S. Granzchesta and Alice Carroll who she trains alongside even though they are all from different companies. She greatly admires her mentor Alicia Florence who is a Prima. She is a thoughtful girl often narrates about her experiences and feelings throughout the story and writes many of these things down to her pen pal. Her positive nature and tendency to voice her optimism often leads her friend Aika to chide her,"Embarassing remarks are not allowed!" Although she is not a Neo Venezia native, Akari deeply loves the city and never considers returning to Man-Home. Not only does she enjoy the sights and sounds of the city but she also enjoys the little things about life. In the anime, she often shares her observations with Ai who was one of her customers.
