A crossover occurs between two or more namesake characters. A combination of the first two (a costume_switch crossover) A reference made between a character within the scene and a namesake who is entirely absent in the picture (such as a seiyuu_connection). To qualify two characters as namesakes, one must consider the following: Characters with the same personal name are automatic namesakes. A one-name character can be considered a namesake of another character having the first character's name as either a personal name or a surname if both are mostly called the same way. Examples are: Ookami's Sakuya (Ookami_(game) can be considered as Izayoi_Sakuya's namesake because both can be called "Sakuya".
