She first appeared in My Little Pony G3 and is one of the main characters of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. In Friendship is Magic, she is an extremely hyperactive girl with a love of throwing parties. She is also one of the more outrageous members of the Mane 7 with the ability to suddenly appear from virtually anywhere, even places that should be physically impossible to materialize in like a bowl or a mirror. She often inexplicably pulls off feats that seem improbable even by the standards of the series. Her hyperactivity can exhaust her friends but she is usually well meaning and treasures her friends. She also has a large appetite and is willing to eat all sorts of food. She is also more clever and competent than her goofy demeanor may suggest. She rarely gets upset but she does not like it when someone breaks a promise, what she calls a Pinkie Promise, with her. She is also afraid of being abandoned by her friends. Out of all the main characters, she is the most closely associated with music and often initiates the series' musical numbers. In the G3 series, she is voiced by Janyse Jaud (Adult) and Dana Flitman (Baby). In Friendship is Magic, she is voiced by Andrea Libman. Her singing voice is provided by Shannon Chan Kent.
