Commonly seen as a half red and half-white sphere with a black strip in the middle but variations exist in the series. It is also used as a weapon in the Super Smash Bros. series. If items are turned on, a player can grab a Pokeball and throw it. Upon hitting something other than an opponent, it will open and unleash a random Pokemon from the series to attack the other players.
