Now Viewing: spinzakuTag type: General A meme that originated in the second episode of Code_Geass R2 and refers to the over the top flashy spin kick that Suzaku does in this episode. The anime staff have also acknowledged this meme and refer to it as the Kururugi kick. It is often parodied by inserting Suzaku doing this kick in situations far removed from its original context or by having other characters do the kick. While the meme by itself is not a spoiler, its original context is a major turning point in the series story, so if you have not finished the first season of Code Geass, avoid reading further. In the original scene, Lelouch recalls how he was captured and foiled by Suzaku who discovers that his best friend Lelouch was Zero, the leader of the Black Knights, the resistance group that Suzaku had been fighting against during the first season. Lelouch raises a gun to shoot at Suzaku, but Suzaku proves to be far faster than Lelouch. Suzaku jumps towards Lelouch and does the famous spin kick to reach Lelouch before he fires the gun. Upon reaching Lelouch, Suzaku disarms Lelouch with his hands and captures him.
