Amagi is the second ship of the Unryuu_(Kantai_Collection)|-class fleet carriers. She has long_hair brown_hair with uneven-length bangs. She also has what seems to be either a hair_flower or a maple_leaf leaf_hair_ornament on her left temple. She has brown_eyes as well as a mole_under_eye below her left eye. Like her sister, she has large_breasts. Unremodeled, she wears a patterned furisode and her banner-rod is wrapped on her back. This actually represents how she wasn't given any planes and was camouflaged in Kure, never to be used in any meaningful way. When damaged, she has a distinctive and unusual pose lying down upon her side, revealing her Unryuu-class gear underneath the furisode. Remodeled, she wears the Unryuu-class uniform without Unryuu's cloud patterning. She finally wields her banner-rod, adorned with a kagura_suzu, like her elder sister. When damaged, her pose was once the same as her unremodeled form, but this was later changed to a more standard damage pose. By her spoken in-game lines, Amagi has a high-strung, yet still "mature woman" personality, with a lack of confidence in her abilities and constant worry about air attacks. Her depiction in doujin works tend to run more towards the Yamato Nadeshiko end of the spectrum, focusing upon the personality implied by her unusually ornate and formal clothing in her unremodeled state. Amagi's damage poses on her side are historical references to how the IJN Amagi sank. During the American raid on Kure Harbor, a Curtiss_SB2C_Helldiver dropped a 2,000 pound bomb between Amagi's aircraft elevators. The explosion was so massive, 200 feet of the flight deck was blown off, a portion of the hangar was propelled through the sides of the carrier, and fragments were propelled through the hull of the ship. She then gradually capsized [2], just like how her damage sprite portrays. Amagi is also the name for Akagi_(Kantai_Collection)'s unfinished sister ship, which was damaged beyond repair in the Great Kantou Earthquake of 1923 and replaced for aircraft carrier conversion by Kaga_(Kantai_Collection). Despite being different characters than her own lost older sister, Akagi is often portrayed as caring for Amagi as a little sister. The battlecruiser Amagi is covered with the tag Amagi_(Battlecruiser)_(Kantai_Collection). Use that tag for hypothetical designs.
