Now Viewing: zakuTag type: Character ザク A mobile suit developed by the forces of Zeon at Side 3. It is notable for its monoeye and armor design, as well as its role as cannon fodder in most of the Universal Century's Mobile Suit Gundam series. The Zaku is considered as the first mobile suit ever developed in the Universal Century. Technically the Zaku I would be the first mobile suit ever created, but the Zaku II is more recognizable. There are many variations of the Zaku mobile suit, but the common one is the standard MS-06F Zaku II. The common armaments for the Zaku are a 120mm machine gun, 280mm bazooka, heat hawk, 3-tube missile pod, or a cracker grenade. They also were equipped with a shoulder shield usually mounted on the right side of the Zaku. Many, if not most, famous pilots started their careers by piloting a Zaku. A few notable pilots were Char Aznable, Shin Matsunaga, and Johnny Ridden.
