Now Viewing: fiatTag type: Copyright Turin-based Italian automobile (+ truck, bus, train, plane, boat, etc) manufacturer with a century-plus of history behind it. Basically responsible for motorising its mother country. Despite making a wide range of products including minivans, sportscars, cargo trucks, and owning several other prestigious brands (Lancia, Ferrari... and now Chrysler) they are best known - in these circles at least - for producing the classic, cute-as-hell, dog-slow (unless you turbo'd it of course...) "500" city car. Also almost as well known for the backronym "Fix It Again, Tony", thanks to many of their products (apart from the various bombproof and europe/japan-only-marketed city cars) suffering abysmal reliability and corrosion problems in the 70s and 80s... unfortunately just when they were trying to break the American market. Come 2011, they're trying to crack the states again, with much more refined offerings... starting with the new reboot of the 500. With any luck, they'll get it right this time.
