Now Viewing: zerefTag type: Character The legendary and fearsome dark mage of Fairy Tail with a level of power way beyond virtually every other mage in the world. He appears to be a dark haired young man and seems to have stopped aging a long time ago. Many of the antagonists want to unseal him and harness his extreme power, but he himself seems to want little to do with said villains' plans. Although he is referred to many times in the series, he makes his first appearance in the flesh in the Tenrou Island arc. He has decided to stay there alone and laments on all the destruction he has caused. Even when he tries to avoid killing, his extreme level of magic goes out of control and destroys a large chunk of the surrounding area. While he feels guilt over his past crimes, he gradually returns to his old ruthless self as he comes to the conclusion that the world can never accept him and for that reason everyone deserves to be wiped out. Zeref is also acquainted with Mavis Vermillion who was also on the same island with him. He is voiced by Ishida_Akira.
