Now Viewing: erza_scarletTag type: Character An extremely powerful red haired female mage and knight who often intimidates her fellow guild members. Like the other main female character Lucy, she also has an ample bosom. She has a serious, strict, and focused personality and is usually the one to break up Natsu and Gray's fights though like her fellow guild members she has her own quirks and is a kind person at heart. When working with the other main characters, she functions as the leader of the group. She has an enormous appetite with the ability to consume at least 49 cakes. She loves eating cake and gets very angry if anyone were to interrupt her cake eating time. She uses Requip magic, which stores objects in a pocket dimension. In essence, she can instantaneously change clothes and weaponry to suit the situation at hand. Because of this, she wears a wide variety of outfits throughout the series and has the most costumes out of any character. Her standard outfit is some knight armor covering her torso and a miniskirt. She favors swords in combat and is skilled at using more than one type of sword. She also has a habit of lugging around an enormous amount of luggage whenever she travels. Due to her strength, she has no trouble handling said luggage. Although she never says so openly, she is suggested by others to be a bit of a pervert; some of her outfits are quite provocative and unlike Lucy she has less shame about wearing them. She had a deeply troubled youth. As a child she was made a slave and taken to the Tower of Heaven where she and the other slaves endured brutal treatment and hard labor. One of her fellow slaves Jellal Fernandes became fed up with their horrible treatment and led a rebellion against the tower's masters. Jellal was a major inspiration for Erza and the two of them developed romantic feelings for each other. Erza's last name Scarlet was given to her by Jellal; her real last name is unknown. When Jellal was captured and brutally tortured, Erza took up Jellal's mantle and rescued Jellal. Unfortunately, Jellal apparently went insane during the torture and he turns against Erza. Erza escapes the Tower but her friends are left behind while Jellal takes over the tower for himself. Erza also cannot tell anyone else about what she experienced or otherwise her friends will be killed. She joined Fairy Tail soon afterwards and began developing a fearsome reputation as a powerful female warrior and intimidating Natsu and Gray. During these years she was a rival to Mirajane who would often pick fights with her. While Erza maintained a stoic and tough image around others, she would often shed tears when she was alone, feeling despondent and guilty over having to leave her Tower of Heaven friends behind. Erza never told anyone else about her background but her past comes back to haunt her during the Tower of Heaven arc. She is voiced by Ohara_Sayaka.
