So same dolts that regularly make pretty moronic commments on Gelbooru get promoted to moderators/janitors in Danbooru?

That's eight kinds of screwed up.

It's like that episode of the Angry Beavers where you add stinky stuff to other stinky stuff and get something that actually kind of smells nice.

Except the stinky stuff is anime forum moderators.

As it so happens, Gelbooru has been more popular than Danbooru since mid-2009:

How did you come to that conclusion ?

Yeah, not definite proof, but hey...

You should've said "Less condescending assholes."

Gelbooru supports about a third of the note formatting that Danbooru does.

edit: Yes, it bugs me.

You're not alone.

That's because the reigns are so loose here. It's not my place to talk about mod activity, but it seemed like people got complacent about uploading anything they pleased until recently.

I'm a bit interested in if that'll change the game any.

Also, if you guys want to talk about insane Danbooru threads, get a load of this one:
danbooru.donmai.us/forum/show/48598

Though, to be fair, most of the people in that thread had sense.

We're not bothered by it. In fact Gelbooru performs a useful service by giving the idiots somewhere to congregate when we kick them out of here, so they leave us alone.

I have conflicting thoughts on this...

I've definitely seen that quote in action here before, unfortunately.

Gelbooru mods are generally nice people, but they don't let you start threads ever.
