Gotta disagree completely man. There's absolutely nothing "cruel and unusual" about prison for a convicted pedophile, no matter how dingy the prison is.

Even castration, which usually doesn't happen AFAIK, would be pretty justified. They ruined a child's life, possibly forever, and maybe even multiple children, all because they couldn't keep their nasty gross wiener in their pants, so now they've got to live with that consequence for failing to keep themselves in check.

Where were the good guys, then? Is the child not traumatized because those subhuman monsters did, in fact, get away with rape? Then if you’re so much better than they are, why do we all have to live in a world where children simultaneously have to live with something unjust but the people who got away with it just get punished– while more and more children are raped every day? Are we just gonna watch that vicious cycle go on for eternity or is someone gonna actually be there to save a child when they’re in danger?

There aren't a bunch of teleporting superheroes that can instantly teleport and prevent every child molestation case from happening. It's going to always happen so long as there are pedophiles who'd ever do such a thing. It's going to always happen so long as any clueless pre-pubescent child is left alone with a pedophile who can't control their urges.

And because of that, the best we can do punish the monsters, preventing more crimes and giving the victims and family some form of peace. Not to mention it's just sweet justice. And yes, maybe things like castration and street justice would be totally acceptable, even if they're on the morally grey side of things.
