Sure. Regardless of what you think of GDPR and other similar regulations generally, I'm just saying that these kind of things existing make the subconscious expectancy of "surely I can delete my shit" more natural, and probable to occur.

I guess my point is not that Gelbooru should allow deletion, if the owners decided to not do that, but rather we shouldn't joke or clown on people who end up making these requests every now and then, since the trap they ended falling into is easy to fall into.

What I don't understand is how content and posts are supposed to be responsibility and property of the users, when users have no way to delete them? Anonymizing posts is a workaround for this. All user content platforms I know let you delete account and/or orphan the posts to erase the name from them. Hiding behind section 230 is just being a jerk, for what reason?

Though I don't know if "deactivate account" on danbooru actually does anything to posts.
All you can do here is edit the posts and delete the text, I saw some people do that.

It's pretty fucked up, really. And I guess the site owners are just like "not my problem".

Especially since this is a porn site with contentious content and many people tend to have regret concerning porn (with some of the regret being valid, others not so valid)

I'm glad it worked out for me in the end, but damn I remember my first realization was sincere panic and regret.
