It was the first to be bundled in a stand alone fashion and reset the volume count to one even though it continues after Vento Aureo and the last Jojo story arc to run in a shounen magazine. It ran from January 2000 to April 21, 2003. It was adapted for the first time in All Star Battle. It was adapted as a full anime series by David_Productions, continuing their adaptation of the entire Jojo saga. Unlike previous seasons, this season was released online via the streaming service Netflix in multiple sets of episodes with a TV broadcast happening in January 2022. Suzuki Kenichi, who directed the first Jojo TV series and Stardust Crusaders, returns as chief director. Kato Toshiyuki, who worked on all the previous Jojo arcs, directs. The soundtrack is again composed by Kanno Yuugo. The characters were designed by Shino_Masanori. The series began on December 1, 2021. The series has the largest quantity of female characters, both heroic and villainous, in the Jojo series which is traditionally male dominant as well as having the first female Jojo as a protagonist. Accordingly, the OP and ED songs of the anime series are also performed by women. It is set in Florida. Kuujou Jolyne's life has been troubled. Jolyne does not get along with her father Joutarou and has fallen into delinquency. She began stealing vehicles at the age of fourteen and has had numerous troubles with the law. Even an attempt to reform has gone sour after she was framed for a vehicular murder. Now Jolyne is incarcerated in the women's prison Green Dolphin Street Prison. Once there, she receives an amulet sent by her father, which cuts her. Jolyne soon discovers that this amulet has given her a Stand that can unravel her body into string. Jolyne dubs this Stand Stone Free and it proves to be useful at fending off unsavory fellow convicts. One day, Joutarou pays a visit to Jolyne and tells her that she must escape and that in reality she has been framed by an assassin named Jongalli A. Still brimming with resentment towards him, Jolyne distrusts her father, but she ends up working with him after Jongalli A attacks the two of them. Jolyne and Joutarou survive the battle and manage to reconcile with each other, but Joutarou has his Stand abilities and memories taken away by a mysterious Stand named White Snake. Armed with the knowledge that Joutarou's warnings are true, Jolyne must find a way to escape from Green Dolphin Street and recover Joutarou's Stand from White Snake's user. Jolyne teams up with fellow prisoners Hermes Costello and Foo Fighters and they work together with some male prisoners from another prison. As Jolyne and co. progress in their quest, they learn that White Snake's user is preparing a plan that will alter all of reality as they know it. . .
