I don't think the current staff would take too kindly to that if it were solely for the reason of getting rid of artists, though.

Actually I don't think they'd take too kindly to it at all!

I don't think that anyone would take too kindly if this site follows that path.

Still, there must be a way to prevent re-uploads of banned content. Preferable one that doesn't involve opening a brand-new can of worms.

I look at it the same way as people uploading duplicates. There's no way to find them all, so I just delete them as I see them.

It truly seems to be the only way to deal with it. Oh well.

The only objective way to define a "Japanese" artist is on the basis of legal citizenship. Most of the artists don't use their real names, so if you require proof positive that they are Japanese, look forward to hosting only official art.

Uploading a hundred pictures manually and carefully tagging all of them requires a fair amount of time. If they might be nuked at any point in the future when the artist turns out not to be Japanese enough, many people will no longer bother.

If I was a moderator, I'd resign rather than do deleting based on race or citizenship, which is why I will never be a moderator.

Or you could do what I do and assume that all pixelated genitals is evidence of Japanese identity. I think Japanese people actually have boxes and black lines for genitals.

Seeing how the vast majority of newly-uploaded pics only feature the obligatory number of tags to be accepted here, methinks this is already happening.

This is just silly. I mean, there's no way to know if the artist is censoring their art on purpose to make it pass as a Japanese work.

I don't buy that in the slightest.

They weren't tagging shit before the rule.

I've read through this entire thread, and it gave me this question: How do you DEFINE something as Japanese-themed art?

I think it got asked before, and no one seemed to really answer that one.

Surely people who draw art that's for example for Touhou, Pokemon, Digimon, Ichiban Ushiro No Daimaou is related to Japan or Anime, seeing as those series/games are made in Japan?

Just asking.

Also: How come there's several Non-Japanese artists on this site that gets their new art posted? I find this very perplexing.

Sorry, I know you wouldn't be able to tell via internet due to lack of tone of voice but... there was a bit of satire in my statement.
