Now Viewing: trigger_disciplineTag type: General Trigger discipline is twofold: The restraint of one's trigger finger, awareness of its position relative to the firearm so as to avoid negligent discharges, which occur due to misuse of a firearm, usually caused by a lack of trigger discipline: posing with a firearm, finger on the trigger; performing other drills such as clearing a malfunction, reloading, or disassembly. The most common trigger discipline is to straighten the finger along the frame ("receiver") of a firearm. In rare cases, isometric tension of the finger stretched all the way through the trigger guard of, typically a Kalashnikov-style rifle. An acute sense of a weapon's trigger sensitivity and the ability to fire in accurate bursts of varying length intentionally.
