A legendary knight, loved by all, that had been corrupted by the Abyss, turning him into a shell of his former self. Artorias is a member of Gwyn's Four Knights, along with Dragon_Slayer_Ornstein, Hawkeye_Gough and Lord's_Blade_Ciaran. He made a pact with creatures of the Abyss, which allows him to travel in the Abyss, he also wields a greatsword and a greatshield and is known to have an unbendable will of steel. In order to rescue Dusk_of_Oolacille from Manus_Father_of_the_Abyss, he travelled to the Abyss, only to fail and got corrupted by it. In his last act of self-sacrifice, he gave his shield to Great_Grey_Wolf_Sif to shield it from the creatures in the Abyss. In Dark_Souls_III, a knight order known as the Abyss_Watcher was founded to succeed his mission of traversing the Abyss and combating against the creatures of the Abyss.
