Now Viewing: koteTag type: General 小手 Kote (小手) are Japanese arm & shoulder_armor, a form of armored sleeve usually covering from the forearms all the way to the shoulder. They are typically made by stitching many small plates ("lames": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lame_(armor)) into a padded sleeve. Kote that only cover the forearms are called han kote, and are also covered by this tag. Kurokote are a subtype of kote, usually made from black iron plates, which give them their color and name.
