Summary:Block/Hide Anon Users by IP from Registered Users View.
Description:Since some Anon's annoy and no enforcement is dealt(at least not in a timely matter), I propose that we the registered, have the option to Block/Hide their comments from our immediate view(Since Banning them may be too harsh or problematic for the Admin to carry out timely).
Additional Info:This is also mentioned because a previous measure Involving the Implementation for a Spoiler Box Feature, that would have rendered this ticket unnecessary, for whatever reason was rejected/filibustered previously.

You can block anonymous by adding user:anonymous to your blacklist. There are issues with allowing users to see anonymous commenters IP addresses.

1. Does that apply to ALL Anons or just specific ones?

STOP.

2. I'm not saying to broadcast/display their IP's to everyone Or even to registered/regular users, Something like a 'Report as Spam' function only right next to it and it reads: Block/hide this Anon.

STOP.

3. Only the system will know their IP; no one else except mods and Admins.
You said be generic, I could have explained this detail initially.

STOP.
Continued Via PM as previous Mod PM has mentioned.

Is this for 0.1.11 or 0.2.0?

Thref replied at 2010-02-23 21:46:54
It says 0.1.11, Why?
That gonna be a problem?
Didn't seem like it was one when you added the Anon comment post # display, thanks for that BTW.

As said, block anonymous by adding user:anonymous to your tag blacklist. If you are able to single out an anonymous, they are no longer technically anonymous.
