Description: | Cases of vandalism aren't that uncommon. Often if it's just one picture and it's only been vandalized once, it's more practical for users to just fix tag edits themselves when they find them rather than refer them to a mod.
As the system is right now, this is more difficult than it needs to be, because a user must copy and paste the list of tags from before the edit, get rid of the + tags in front of any tags that were added to the previous edit before the vandalism, and remove the tags that were removed in that previous edit before the vandalism from the list.
Because of this, I propose enabling the tag revert button for normal users. If the tag revert button is enabled for normal users, it would make it much easier to do what they'll be doing anyway with copy-and-paste. Of course, the tag poisoner could revert it back to their poisoned tagging as well; however, if they were to use the revert button to re-vandalize the tags on a post, it's likely that they'd do it manually anyway.
Only giving the moderators a shortcut like this doesn't make much sense when there's plenty of regular users who could get full use out of it, and enabling it for them could only help the site. |
