Any updates on whether or not the pictures on this site will ever be uploaded to sites like download sites like megaupload? Still looking for an easy way to save the pictures to my computer that won't require an insane amount of time.

If you really want them, I can split the directories in 100MB chunks and upload them to a free host. It'll take a few days to get a fraction of the collection on a free host though, just so you know.

We have about 1,250+ 100MB sized RAR files that you would have to download. Assuming I put them on Rapidshare, that is still ~650 files you'd have to download. Megaupload would be over 100 files. I think the best bet would be to put it on both Crapidshare, Megaupload and then also throw it onto a torrent.

Yes please, any host even crapidshare would be great, it will save me tons of time.

It is over 140GB. I have a feeling I won't be able to upload tons of files really easily to those hosts... In this case, I THINK a torrent will be a better choice.

Yea that's even better, whatever is easier for you, just want an easy way to download all these wonderful pictures.

What about some automated system where the user could request pictures with a certain tag to be packed and uploaded to an upload service?

Is that even possible? I don't think upload services would allow automated systems to do that. That's why they always verify you're a human with those verification codes.

It's possible but it's also a bit hefty on space. If I am not mistaken Megaupload only allows 50GB of storage space, and Rapidshare only allows a few GB. I am not sure of the exact storage limits imposed.

well that seems a bit excessive, I think its best to stick to one torrent or something. Anyways, I'm looking forward to whatever you decide to do.
